Carrie Reichardt is an Anarcho-Artist. She makes work which is concerned with the political, the social, and with the essential features of being a clued-up and aware woman, a concern for humanity, animal welfare, and the planet.
She has a nom-de-plume : 'Baroness Carrie von Reichardt', a mover and shaker for the wellbeing of all, a 'conscience' artist who never forgets fun, seriousness, parody, a mockery of those who seek to rule, and is an inspiration for free-thinkers.
She works across several media, against mass production - welding craft to activism - a 'craftivist', and it is her prints that always inspire with their directness and often irreverent playfulness.
She often comments on the roles of women, and is an active worker too - she's worked with communities in Mexico, authored articles on bees, written to people on death row as an ongoing project, and featured in many national publications.
